Ok heres the combo, 306 with new internals and speed pro forged pistons with 10:1 compression, afr 165 heads, edlbrock performer intake and all supporting fuel mods. Now the question. I have a trick flow stage 2 cam, how much would I benefit from going to a custom cam? How well would the trick flow cam perform with the afr's?

I'm sure the Trick Flow cam will perform well (assuming you have the AFR spring upgrade) but custom will always come out on top.

There's no set gain on going custom......they make the cam based on YOUR setup. You tell them what you want the power to be like and where you want it to peak....and they might throw in some reccomendations as well....then they make it for you.

I dunno, I think it would be pretty hard pressed to get that combo in the 11's.....but I'm sure it's possible.

Keep what you have and run it. It should perform decent. Definatly upgrade valve springs. FTI sells drop in replacement spring kits. I would also degree the cam in.

TFS 2 would mainly be mid-top end power.

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
