I am almost finished building a 351W for my 89LX. It has certainly eaten up quite a bit of cash which has been in shorter supply since my son was born. I would really like to drive the car this summer. I am looking for a carb suggestion. I could just call Pro-systems but that could get expensive in a hurry. The car will be summer driven only so choke is not an issue. The FTI cam is pretty mild but I would still think mechanical secondaries. The majority of my combo is in the bottom of my sig. Which reasonably priced carb would you guys suggest? Thanks, Pat.

I would use a 825 BG Mighty Demon,or a Holley 850HP (Proform has a reasonably priced 850 also).

You know, unless that intake is ported, its kind of holding you back.A Victor Jr. would be much better matched to your combo.

I had a Victor for it but I sold it. I had Ed Curtis at FTI spec out the cam for a streetable combo. Won't be racing nearly as much as driving on the road. Cam is at the engine shop but from what I can recall the lift is in the mid 500 range and its a split pattern cam. Nothing crazy, I said max power around 6000-6500rpm. I was thinking suggestions more in the 650cfm range. I would give up a little max horsepower for better throttle response and overall better driveability.

Pat.
