I might be going another route, instead of my stock heads with port work I think In going to go the aluminum route. I know Trick Flow heads are killer, but they're also very pricey. Anyone ever run the Patriot heads? Ive heard on these that the springs supplied with them dont have enough pressure and need to be upgraded is this true? Also what about Pro Comp heads? I know the Pro Comp rockers are dog **** and assume the heads are also. My motor has an F303 cam with stock bottom end and windage tray. Also going to be running a Edelbrock Victor Jr with this setup will I have any problem with fitment on any of these heads? Thx Chris

I had a link for a head flow chart with all the major heads.... can't find it but will look for you.

I've recently decided on going w/ the Victor Jr's b/c they're a little pricey but for the money its a great deal compared to some of the heads on the higher end. eg. Trick flow

assembled heads go for like 650 each, 1300 bucks is CHEAP for the flow numbers the vic jr's make

One of the biggest things I've learned while in the car game is that you get what you pay for. I have gotton plenty of deals with used stuff but with new parts the cheaper price usually means less quality.

The Patriot heads springs are good to 550 lift and they out flow the Edelbrock vic jr. Pro Comps are junk imo I talked to a few guys and they liked the Patriots just remeber they have 2.02/1.60 val's for clearing them

Look how good they done with the LS1'S and the 4.6 2v ?

Go to the edelbrock rpm.. or the ported GT40 and E7TE's ... IF yo go crazy on flow numbers... I'll be kick'n your ass in the mud!! It is flow, not volume that make the winner...

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
