which differental do i want?

personally i would go with the detroit they are pretty much bullet proof. as for the noise i wouldent worry about it. that just means you dont have a loud enough exhaust system!

Is there an INEXPENSIVE locker. The best I've found is $400. I think it was a Detroit true-trac. BTW, the Detroit EZ track is NOT for drag racing. It doesn't hold up at all. That statement came from their website.

does the locker only make noise when you make turns or is it all the time?
i was sure i wanted a locker for my daily driven soon to be 500rwhp stang but not sure if i should get an eaton now

I have a Detroit Locker in mine and do not hear noise from it. Maybe my Dynomax Race Bullets cover the noise. The DL does remind you it is there whem you apply or let off the gas with a slight thud. The most important thing to remember with them, is do not press the gas to WOT unless the car is pointed perfectly straight.

whats the difference between these detroit true trax? DTL-913A561 DTL-187C145A

Im having a very hard time desiding if i want a true trax or and eaton

Yeah me too. This is something I want to do ONE time and not have it break the bank.
