which dist?

I've got just a stockish vacum advance points dist and was wanting to upgrade. I don't want something that is going to be finicky starting and all that but I want performance from the dist down to the wires.

I used the MSD ready to run dizzy and blaster 2 coil on my stroker. I picked this model over the others because I did not want to be required to use the MSD box. It can be used if wanted but is not required.

The cheapest way would be to put a Pertronix in the dizzy you got to eliminate the points. Don't even have to pull the sucker out to install.

I had a stock dual advance dist with breaker-points. Sucked.

I added pertronix and it was pretty good.

I added a full MSD system and dist and WOW!

Davis Unified Ignition.

Eliminate the external coil, one wire hook up, and you're ready to rock.

Is the Pertronix II any better i.e. worth the price difference over the original Pertronix?
