I have finally figured out that I don't want the deep mellow tone but a raspy race sound. MAC flowpaths I think have this sound. What else does? (SLP's are too loud for me btw).

If you want that raspy sound then go with a straight through muffler and not a chamberd one. Make sure you also go with an X-pipe and not an H-pipe. You'll get the sound you are looking for. Try a Bassani X-pipe and a borla cat-back.

X-pipe and any catback. My upr o/r X and bassani street comp catback has a snarley, racey, edgy sound with a high pitched "racey" rasp edge sound at certain times....it sounds soo bad@ss.....

But, as long as you get an X-pipe you'll get some form of metallic rasp at one point or another.

I have the Magnaflow catted x pipe and regular Magnaflow straight through mufflers, and to me they sound raspy as hell, especially when you get on it. I paid $780 combined fro Partshopper about 14 months ago, but I hear that this setup will cost you around $1000 now.

I might try to do a custom X with my dynomax's then. I really don't quite want a straight through muffler because the back pressure is lost so much with straight pipes that torque goes way down.

X-pipe (your choice) and Spintech Pro-Streets or Sportsmans depending on how loud you want to go.

Flowmasters give you a smooth and hollow tone. It's certain midpipes that makes the flows turn raspy. My car is nowhere near raspy, trust me.
