Which floormats will make my car go faster ;-)?

Just kidding around, but in all seriousness I need to get a new set of floor mats since the winters around here are pretty rough on the interior but I can't decide between them. I really like the look of the Ultimats or Heavyweights (both from Lloydmats) especially being that you can get the mustang lettering, tri-bar pony or powered by ford logos, I really like the tri-bar pony and have seen a set of them up close but the powered by ford looks really cool too, I'm just a little worried if they'll look as good in person as I hope. If you have any opinions let me know.

The other type of mat I'm looking at is the hexomat or Rubertite type of mat that looks better for really bad weather and would wash off better.

Has anyone had any experience with either type of mat? They say that the Ultimat or Heavyweight are treated to resist water and dirt however they're still carpet mats so I'm totally not sold (although they do look a lot nicer). If anyone has any insight, has had any of these mats, or another brand I'd be open to suggestions or if you think I should choose form vs. function or vice versa I'd love to hear your two bits.

I've had a rubber kex mat before. It felt a little funny under my heel because it tended to feel squishy. But it worked great for an all-weather mat. And the hex's catch the rocks and dirt.

They just have an industrial feel to them, and look institutional.

Hey now... who's calling me a "grey mat" easy now haha.

The institutional look isn't my favorite, maybe I'll end up getting a set of each (not really what I want to spend the $ on but I can't see having the hexomat style ones in for car shows).

Anyone know of a good place to buy the mats from at a good price, especially in Canada?

If I go for the embroidered ones Tri-bar pony or powered by ford? What are your votes?

I like the all-weather mats from Ford. They have the pony emblem and will hold up to almost anything. Your dealer should be willing to get them for you for cost.

Well that would depend on what you consider cost. After working in parts, there is invoice cost, trade cost, and retail cost. Most of the times they tell you it's cost they are referring to trade cost which is still at 20+% more.

I'm thinking about swapping my light gray ones (read get dirty in a second mats) for the black ford racing ones which are only 34MPG and come with the Ford Racing embroidered logo which we all know gives you 15HP at the wheels.

If you want your cargo faster, then use smooth surface and not one with lots of ridges.

Wal-mart haha or in Canada try Candian tire?

Then you buy a really nice set and keep em in the trunk when you want to show off your car, buy some nice roush ones

I am talking about invoice. Actually, the last time I traded I insisted that the dealer include the all-weather floor mats in the deal.
So, what I paid depends on how you look at the deal I got, X plan plus $2500 rebate in June of 2007.

I've got the regular style mats from weathertech. They are durable & functional, but I want to get the floor liners for the fronts to catch all the dirt. No mustang logos, but great winter floormats.
