Actually, this is for my uncle..

He found a 302 to stick in his ranger project, and a spare 302 to boot. He called me askin me about the 2 sets of heads he has...

1st set he thinks are of an 86 GT, he said they have the "D" shaped combustion chambers, the pistons from that block has valve reliefs.

The second set of heads of an 86 stang as well, has like kidney shaped combustion chambers, and the pistons are completely flat across the top wit ha small dot in the center of the piston.

I told him to read me the casting numbers off of them. On the kidney shaped ones, he said was like a E6SE, and off the ones with the "D" shaped combustion chambers, it had an E7 somethin number.

He wants to pick the best set of heads out of the 2, so could anyone tell me which ones are better and why? I can call him if any other info is needed. Thanks in advance!

86's had flat top pistons. 87-93's had valve reliefs in the pistons.
