Which injectors and fmu disc would best suit my combo?

First off I have no local tuners that can burn a custom chip so I will have to do all the tuning myself. With that said I need to be as close on with the tune as possible so I can be safe when I first run it to start tuning. The combo is as follows:

Paxton Novi 1000(6lbs boost for now)
8.5:1cr 306
Eagle forged rotating assembly(stock block)
Afr 165's
FMS E-cam
Gt-40 upper and lower(unported)
70mm tb
255lph in tank pump
bbk adj. fpr
bbk 1 5/8 shorties with matching off road h-pipe

I will have a fuel pressure gauge and hopefully a innovate lm-1 wideband also to aid in the tuning process. I need to decide on which size injectors and mass air to get. I'm guessing somewhere around 24-30lb would work with an fmu hooked up. What size fmu disc should I get with what size injectors?

When we had a similar combo on our A-trimmed 331 the 36# was more then adequate. The GT-40 will hold it back from making big power. We made 425/465 to the tires and the 36# inj were only at 68% duty cycle at 5900rpm...plenty of fuel.

255lph Hi-Pressure pump, T-rex, stock lines and Aeromotive rails. We pulled fuel out down low with the PMS, and I think base pressure was at 37psi.

Now if you want to upgrade to a larger blower, and crank the boost up...42# would be my choice along with some type of tuner...

I also vote for being FMU less. You're going to need a way to tune it yourself though. The Anderson, the Tweecer, or whatever other system out there that floats your boat. Plan on spending cash on one of those systems.

If I go without the fmu will I have to get an aftermarket tuner like the pms? I wouldn't mind not using the fmu but then I'm going to have a way rich idle. For now the cash is tight and I will get a pms next year but I wanted to get it going in the next couple months. Should I just wait until I can get the tuner or just go ahead and put it all together? BTW, is the AFM PMS easy to use? I like the look of it better than all the others on the market.

Like old man Dagger said, the PMS is fairly easy to use. It will be tricky at first but after a little bit you'll get it. If you buy it new, AFM will give you a base start up tune. You have to fill out a sheet and fax it to them and they send you a base tune.

My car would be a piece of sh it w/o my PMS and wideband ;)

By the way, do you happen to have a dyno sheet from your old ported TW headed/N-91 cam 331 combo?

I never did get around to taking it to a dyno. I was going to until my little explosion......... I talked to Rick Anderson and we talked about it and what to expect and he said between 420-450rwhp based on the trap speed and weight of the car with me in it. It should have went 10.80-10.90 with traction. Best 60ft after the stage III tw's and the AED 850 was a 1.76 on an 11.32 run. Before the upgrades the car was around a 1.55 60ft. I will build a similar combo in the future but with a dart block and an all forged rotating assembly and I will definitely take that one to the dyno.
