Which is a better option for reparing a banged up door anmd smashed mirror

1. Just take it to a body shop and let them handle everything (order door skin, mirror) possibly use bondo and paint.

2. Find a complete door on Craigslist of any color and put it on and then take to shop just for paint.

I would say the more work you do on your own, the more money you would save. I don't think I would half ass my car and bondo it back.

If I was in your shoes I would go to a junk yard or Craigslist as you mentioned, find the parts, and then just find a good body shop to paint it.
