I need to order some bearings for my driver. I have a choice between Timken. BCA/National, some company I've never heard of that I don't trust and another company I don't know of called Dynapack.

Basically, which co9mpany makes a better quality bearing, Timken or BCA/National ?

I will make it simple for you. Look to see where the bearings are made and make your decision

If made in the US, Germany, Switzerland, or Japan, then purchase.

If made in Mexico, China, or any country of such ilk, then see the above.

:nice:
Mexico / China bearings never last 4 months in my experience

Go Timken only if they are US made not the china cheap ones

Timken = China

I use Timken also, but I just read that there plant in China got some kind of award. U.S made? The award was on the Timken site. I will still use Timken products.

There are some quality chinese things. Timken bearings are one of them, I hear good things about them. If you want US brand bearings you can always use Federal Mogul.

Autozone usually carries Timken, and so far so good.

Quality is not an accident, nor is it a function of where something is made. BCA and Timken have a reputation for marketing and quality. This said, there are many good bearing manufacturers in China. Making a quality bearing is not leading edge tech; it's more a function of capital and commitment. Bringing that bearing to market in the US is another matter.
