OK - Anything you have experienced about Engine ADDITIVES would help.
I have an 02 GT - mild mods - 28,000 miles.
Have always used Sythetic Oils - Mobil 1, Valvoline. Soon will try Royal Purple.
But I would like to know about ADDITIVES like- X1R - PROLONG - BG/MOA - MARVEL MYSTERY OIL and others.
Here in Texas I hear good things about X1R and BG/MOA.
Any info would be great.
Thanks

They're useless. Most of the companies that make them have been sued, that's why you don't see tons of infomercials for them anymore. Stick with the synthetic and regular changes and you'll be fine.

In my view, engine additives are like cough medicine. Don't use it unless you have a cough. An additives can be useful if you have a sick engine and it happens to address that particular condition.

I once had a Ford inline 6 pushrod engine with a sticking valve lifter. I removed the valve cover and dumped some additive directly down the pushrod tube to the affected lifter. The problem cleared up and never returned; I drove it another 30K miles.
