Which Motor Mounts?

I have poly bushings all around my car right now and it rides stiff. I feel every bump. Is there an advantage of running a poly mount compared to a convertible mount? I have read that the convertible mount is much stronger. Since mine are shot I was looking at an upgrade. I am not unhappy with my current setup, but if poly mounts are not going to increase the handling, I would have no problem with going with a vert mount. What mounts? Poly or Vert mounts?

I do not like Poly bushings. I would go with the convertible mounts.

I'll be using prothane poly motor mounts to match my prothane poly trans mount.

I have the vert mounts and still have alot of engine movement. I would think the poly would be better.

I run the vert mounts with my 351w setup and they are great.. The torque from the motor shakes the whole car not just the engine. Much better setup then the stock style for sure.

For a track only car, engine movement would be bad. But for a street car a little engine movement and dampening is good.
If I wanted to go to the track and have the best of both worlds I would go with convertible mounts and a torque link like this.

Use it for the track and unhook it for the street.

no experience with poly (too rich for my blood) but i have no complaints about vert mounts.

I personaly like poly! lol or you can do what I did in my old truck and use sold mounts and chain it! lol
