Which mufflers to weld, best price?

What site online can i purchase a set of mufflers to weld. I was looking at the magnaflows and was wondering how much they cost? There was a site i was looking at that also have tailpipes to weld in. Anyone knows where i can find tailpipes to weld in?

If you buy the mufflers from the shop they wont screw you on the install. If you bring in your own they may.

I had Magnaflows welded in for $80 each plus install plus new tips. After I was done it cost almost as much as a catback!

I had Dynomax Super Turbos on my 01 and loved them. Maybe more than the Magnaflows and they were $50 each from steeda.com.

Most muffler shops should have tailpipes you can choose from. Chrome is usually the cheapest but can rust. Polished stainless is better but more money.

If you've still got the catted X, get the MagnaFlow MagnaPacks, just hunt around the internet for them. If you've got a catless X, get the regular magnaflows.

yes buy them from a shop they get a bit weird if you dont get your mufflers from them. May i suggest 2 chamber flows and a MAC off-road h-pipe?

I had original 40 series flowmasters welded in for around $80 total. I had purchased the mufflers before going to get them installed.

Don't go to a brand name shop like Midas or something. Go to the small rinky-dink muffler shops. They'll weld them in for less.

well right now i have the catted bassani x. and i was thinking of the regular magnaflow because i didnt want the car to be too loud, but i dont want it quiet either. Will it be better to get the magnapacks mufflers? I have to have a catted x pipe because of emissions. I will call the mustang shops around here to see what they charge for welding.

Magnaflows are too quiet...take look at MAC stainless muffs...they sound great and last forever. (I used to have Magnaflows, kept the pipes, ditched the muffs)

Rocketman, those tailpipes look good. On the website it doesnt say which year they are for? Do i have to get once with hangers? SO they are apprx $125 each? might as well get a magnapack catback system.

The $125 is for the set. You want hangers so that they will mount up to your stock rear hangers right under the rear valance.

$125 for the set is not bad, but add $160 to that for the mufflers and about another $100 to weld them all in, i might as well get the Magnapack catback am i correct?

I would agree with you there, i got the regular magnaflow catback for less than that and love it.

Isn't there rebates right now on part shopper or something? If not, ebay and patience is your best plan. I got mine about 8 months ago when they were 335 shipped through performance peddler on Ebay.

do u have a link to their website so i can see how much they have it for now? Do you like the sound of the magnapacks? thats definately what i have decided to get. I have the catted bassani x and i am sure it will compliment the magnapack catback very well.

I checked at Partsshoppers and they have it for $459, thats a lot more than what i have seen them go for.

partshopper says right next to the product that they will match prices...I have seen a lot of people on here lately say that they got the magnaflows from fulllineexhaust.com for 320 shipped...I am sure partshopper would match that
