I have a 95 GT and have finally gotten the green light to fix it up or the other option is to get a 1969 or 70 Mach 1 and restore it to all it's glory. I love my GT now, but the older Mach 1 is my dream car. Just trying to way the pros and cons and get some other perspectives on the choice at hand. I know I won't have to smog the Mach and I would really love to get into a big block, but my GT runs great now and it is a beautiful car but smog SUCKS!!! Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

I finally made my decision...I found a really good deal on a '70 Mach 1 and purchased it. It came with a parts car also...it cost me 4 grand and needs alot of work, but the rust isn't too bad and it is a good platform to start from. Now all I gotta do is sell the '95. I'll upload some pics for everyone's viewing pleasure so you all can see what my cars all look like. Anyone interested in a '95 GT?

WOW! 4g's? you stole that thing!
give us some pics.
69 and 70 Mach1, my favorite body styles! and some day they will be worth the most to, mark my words. Really only two years with that cool body.
The 68's and earlier were little pony's and the 71 on just got funky (untill the Fox).
But, don't let that stop you, go the resto mod route!
Put some real brakes and good suspension on that thing with some big 17's or 18's and some wide meats, and build a fire breather of a motor for it, maybe a big block. and freshin up the interior with some real seats and controls and gauges.

Easy for me to say huh?

But oh man what a car, and it will alway's be cool!

I totally agree that the '69 and '70 are the best looking body styles. Pics are on the way for the Mach 1 just as soon as it gets here. I plan on doing a resto mod..but I am going to stick with the 351 4v and auto for now and probably go with a 428/460 and stick later. Money is the only thing holding me back, I have plenty of ambition and desire, it's that damn money thing that gets in the way. Anyway, I would have to say it was a smoking good deal because it also came with a parts car for free. Both are being shipped to my house as we speak. The parts car is a '70 302 fastback. Both for 4k....it's like a sore peter...can't beat it...Anyway here are of the parts car...like I said the Mach 1 pics will be here soon....stay tuned.
