I bought a bump steer kit from JDI performance off of ebay a couple months ago, and just got around to installing it yesterday. The problem is that when I rotate the threaded sleeve to adjust the toe, nothing happens. It just moves the sleeve in or out without making any changes whatsoever in the position of the tire. Shouldnt they have a left handed thread on the sherical ball end? Wouldnt that allow the sleeve to force the rod end in and out when you rotate it? Mine has standard threads on each end. SO am I doing something wrong or is this kit retarded like I think??? The other probelm is the seller is unavailabe until 9/20/2006!!!! And I have already drilled out my spindles to 5/8" so buying a Steeda or similar kit is not going to work. Any thoughts....

I've got JDI's double adjustable uppers, and adjustable lowers with spherical axle bushings on my car. The parts are top quality. And priced just right. (all three for 300 shipped) Try looking over it again.

They don't necessarily need to thread opposite ways. If they are threading the same way, the outer tie rod is still being pushed out as the inner is being pulled in (or visa versa) And not being able to "see" the tire move is not relevent... The adjustment should only really be +- maybe 3 degrees. That's not very much and the adjustment is made in very small increments making it very difficult to see with the naked eye.

On an alignment rack, half a turn on the adjuster can be +- 1 degree. When you margin for error is only .05 degree, you can see how not visually "seeing" the difference doesn't really matter.
