Which package do I have?

I've been checking out all of the Mustang forums and have found this one to have the most activity. Good to be a part of the community. :flag:

Now I've been reading about all of these packages that come with these cars from the dealer like California Custom, Deluxe, Premium, etc. Problem is I can't seem to find what is included in each. I've found quite a few features that I know are options that don't come on a standard package.

This is what I've found so far:

Engine cover w/ running horse
Heated Seats
Traction Control
Non-functional hood scoop
Aluminum dash accents
Shaker 500 sound system

I know there was something I read about additional gauges but I don't remember which ones were supposed to be the optional ones.

I have an '07 GT if that helps. Thanks!!

The hood scoop, engine cover, and rolled exhaust tips came in the sport appearance package. The heated seats were part of the comfort group. Shaker 500 was standard on the GT Premium, and depending on exactly what you mean by aluminum dash accents, those are too. Most years, you weren't able to order options like the Comfort Group without it being a premium. You also usually could only get leather by getting the premium.

Just to clarify for a 2007 Mustang GT, like the OP asked about:

"GT Appearance Package" included the hood scoop, engine cover, and bright rolled exhaust tips.

"Comfort Group" included the heated seats, power passenger seat (in addition to the power driver seat), and electrochromatic rear view mirror with compass.

"Interior Upgrade Package" included the extra 2 guages (6 vs 4), MyColor dash, satin aluminum or charcoal weave dash (vs just plain plastic) across the dash, aluminum door sill inserts, computer message center in IP (with mpg, miles to empty, etc.), etc.

"Premium" model included leather and Shaker 500 stereo standard (Deluxe model could get those items individually as options).

Traction Control (and ABS brakes) were standard on all GT's that year.

I really wanted the comfort group because of the rear view mirror and power passenger seat. There was a blue one without it and a white one with it, all else equal. Needless to say, the color prevailed and I bought an aftermarket dealer installed rearview mirror which opens the garage door and a few other things too.

Have you tinkered around yet with "My Color"???? The first few nights I had the car, I must have spent 20 or so minutes playing around with different colors! I've now had a medium shade of blue for about two years now :nice:

I did mess around with it for a while after finding out I had it. The previous owner had a really cool shade of blue set that I used for a night. Problem is I'm a freak when it comes to uniformity so I've been using the green ever since.

I hear ya, lost! I had it a green (reminded me of a Bullitt look) shade for a while, but eventually got tired of it. I now have a stereo screen that is blue, so that helps the transition:nice:
