I need to get my car aligned soon since it's pretty far off right now. It does have a bumpsteer kit on it as well so I'm kind of wary of just going to les schwab or the like...

What's a good shop in the Portland area that is familiar with mustangs and will be able to do a "performance" alignment? I've heard that the stock settings are not really optimal and that a good shop should know how to set it for improved handling.

I work at the les schwab on 122nd and division. I know my way around stangs and so does our main alingment guy brad smith, if I'm not there brad will be, just tell him what you want your car aligned for, tire wear or performance. if your still wary about les schwab, johns frame shop by krazy koncepts does good work as well

I've used the Les Schwab on Imbrie Drive in Hillsboro with good results. I watched them and the tech was very anal.

i have herd good things from the 122nd store but for the most part i have had a terrible experience with them in the past and i have used johns for my last three times and they do a great job except when they burnt a hole in my seat but they fixed it. I strongly recomend johns for any kind of frame work.

yea I hate to talk bad about the company I work for, but some of the stores are really hit and miss, I got lucky that I got hired where I did and not a different store.

ive had a few bad experinces with les schawb like the time they only hand tightend the lug nuts on my car and let me drive off the lot without telling me they snapped off a wheel stud i got on the freeway drove to tigard and when i went to get back in my car i was backing out from where i parked and the damn wheel fell off and casued some damage to my fender. they wouldnt take any blame for it so we had to take them to court over it.

yea... that'd ruin it for me to... I'm glad I work with the manager that I have because he absolutely will not settle for **** like that happening, I mean sure ppl screw up and make mistakes, but this is a car, what we do can endanger the owner of the car, anyone else in the car as well as anyone else on the road near that car, I thought some of the training he put us through was harsh and repetative but I realize it aint. sorry you had that happen man.

I won't go to anyone but these guys:

The Line-UP Shop
610 NE 102nd
Portland, OR 97220
503) 252-3407
m-f 7:30-5:00 pm

Cheap, fast, and quality. I always get a second look after I go to a shop I've never been before. I went to The Line-Up Shop and got my lifted Explorer aligned, then 2 days later went to Les Schwab on 21st and columbia. I told L.S. that it was pulling to one side. They told me they couldn't find anything wrong. That was exactly what I wanted to hear. They even asked me if I was sure it was pulling. Their answer to it pulling was that I must need new tires even though they couldn't explain why.

I'm not saying anything bad about Les Schwab, it very well could have been the same story the other way around. But The Line-up Shop knows what they are doing.

they were probly thinking it was a radial pull, it has to do with the construction of the tire... every once in awhile you'll find one thats defective and it'll cause it to pull, easy way to tell is cross switch the 2 front tires. but thats probly why they said that

thanks for the advice, I'll have to call around early next week and see who can get it in... other people have told me good things about those 3 shops so I'm sure any of them will be fine...

now if I can just get these damn rebuilt control arms back in the car... I knew keeping the stock springs would make this a fun job... not.
