I pulled my starter during a clutch install and didn't take a picture of which wire goes where. It's a 2003 Mach 1. There are three posts on the back of the starter/solenoid. There are two wires. One a larger gauge, the other smaller.
I found a photo of the correct connection online. I have the starter hooked up correctly. There is a clicking noise when trying to start. I'm hoping it is just a bad connection. I can't imagine the starter or solenoid going out at the exact same time I do a clutch install. I did notice some wire showing on the starter cable. I know this can cause issues, but would it cause the actually clicking noise? I'm going to investigate further tomorrow. But it's frustrating after spending all day installing a clutch to have this happen.
