I got a 89 gt w/ a blower and a 306 DSS motor, and i was wondering what would a good decent priced radiator would be. Would i need a fan to go w/ it was well? I would like to order it from summit, but this is not crucial.

thanks guys,
Ian

If you decide to go electric, here's the best controller there is out there - www.dccontrol.com . They sell fans too already wired up with the controller if you like. Be sure you have enough alternator to deal with electric fans. The stock 65A unit is usually not enough.

I looked into this website one of the times Michael posted it and it is by far the most impressive and complete kit around. Comparitively speaking it's pretty competitively priced and looks like you get a better setup. I don't know of many (any?) people who have this, but I'm seriously considering it.

Adam do you mean people who have just the controller or the controller and fan package?
for the controller, Michael does, as do Ryde On and (IIRC) Blackfox5.0 (Chris). there are some others i cant think of.

i dont know of anyone who has said they have a complete package.

when and if i go elec, i would definately use one of Mr Baskin's units (if i can afford it). looks like great stuff. then i will have Michael come over and make me one of those gauges like he has (to show fan speed). (dont worry, J/K Michael. seriously, i will show up on your door step and ask for help. ok, ok, just kidding again).

I actually meant the whole package, as that's what I was looking at. I knew a couple people had just the controller -- but still haven't heard too much detail about it -- just the rave reviews.

There's a bunch of people that have the controller. Don't know who has the whole package. As you might imagine, most folks out there buy their MkViii or Taurus fans used to save money. I use it to control a dual 11" SPAL shrouded unit which I did buy new. Works like a champ.
