Well ive made up my mind not to get L/T headers due the the pain the in a$$ it will be when it comes time to change my clutch. So now im just gonna order some shorty headers and a catted h-pipe. I have some questions.

1. what all will i need to buy with the shorties?
2. will they cause any problems down the road?
3. will i have to drop/move the engine to get these in?
4. will any topside components have to be removed or can i install everything from underneath?
5. which brand for the headers and catted h-pipe?
6. website to order from.

Thanks again.

You know... you dont need to remove the hooker super comps LT headers... and LT headers provide way better gains over the whole powerband, and even more power w/ a blower

But, since you want shorties, here goes.... There are TWO types of shorties, EQUAL LENGTHS and UNEQUAL LENGTHS. Of course they all come in various finishes, such as steel, titanium, ceramic coated, ect.
UNEQUAL LENGTHS are suppost to help provide better gains, without needing a comprimising mid pipe, for people who cannot swap their mid pipe out, such as people in california, or for people who dont want to (because usually shorties are cheaper than LTs).

what will you need to buy?? Usually, they come as a package. Gaskets, bolts, anything else needed, ect. it should all be together 99% of the time, unless you buy from ebay, when the bare minimum is being shipped.

cause any problems down the road?? Not that i know off, unless you really cant figure out what to do with the old headers, and it drives you to crying everynight and attempting suicide.

as for isntallation, chances are, you WILL need to lift the engine up off its mounts to get decent room to work in. I suppose you COULD do everything from under the car, but it's probably not, seriously not, recommended. Definitely will need to lift the engine with EQUAL LENGTH shorties. EQUAL LENGTHS are a BITCH to install, major pain in the ass. Headers on the 4.6s are a lot more of a pain to do than on the 5.0s unfortunately.

which brand??? Mmmm..... Ive heard only problems with MAC... I've heard good and bad from the rest. Most people go with BBK and are pretty satisfied. But take my word for it, ceramic coating may be extra, but it's usually worth it.

Website to order from? ebay, jegs.com summitracing.com lmperformance.com modularfordpowerhouse.com there's millions.

Hope this helps.
