How many miles before you are supposed to change your plugs for the 1st time? Im sure its in my owners manual...but the car is in storage right now and the manual is in it. I was wondering what plugs to use also. I heard a few people have had problems with the bosch platinum 4's

Autolite 764s are $ 1.97 at Wal Mart. Use a little anti seize on the threads when reinstalling.
Motorcraft AWSF 32C are also stock type copper plugs.

According to Ford 100k miles. Do you really want to wait that long?? ... not me! I changed mine at 19K miles only because I wanted copper plugs, platinum plugs are junk ... they're only for longevity. The Bosch 4's make good paper weights and that's about it.

NGK TR55IX baby!

I had 764s and took them out after about 15k miles. Idle smoothed out a good bit with the TR55s. I checked all of the 764s as I took them out and they still had good gap and looked mostly new too.

For a pair too!
My friend got Denso plugs (6) for $80 some... I got 8 Autolite's for < $8.

I'll have to change mine every year or so but that's easy
