When I order my twisted wedge heads should I get them with or without the O-ring groove machined into them. I know this has been posted before by others but I wanted to know more specifically for my combo. When the H/C/I is finished I would expect about 500 hp or so at the flywheel. Thanks guys. Currently I am only running 6lbs of boost.

If you plan on running boost at all...get the o-ringed heads, or you can run cometic head gaskets.

With OUT O ring is what you want.

Trueblue, I hope you're kidding about adding juice to put you over the 500rwhp make with that planned 347 combo Maybe you meant 700 + rwhp? Hope this isn't a stock block.

The head gasket works great as relief valve if possible problems arise. If everything is tuned right, they work great, if something goes wrong, it'll give up before something more expensive does. With the O-rings, you loose that nice little cushion.

Yea, you want your head gasket to go before your piston or something else.

Dont you need to machine a relief in the block too when using the grooved gaskets?
