I have two timing kits:

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/M6268B302/Ford-Racing-289-50L-58L-Roller-Timing-Chain

and

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com...-Timing-Chain-Set-50-58L-Magnum-Double-Roller

I plan on using the Ford Racing one. Anyone have negative experiences with it?

Thanks,
Jason

You already have them?

If not I use a billet gear set with a thrust washer with a high quality chain for around $70.00

Yeah, I had the Ford Racing kit from a while back, and the TFS Top End Kit came with the Comp Cams kit. FRPP is made in USA though, so I'd like to use that one.

TFS use to supply their own Private labeld billet version, never got anything different. Where'd you buy the kit from?

Either of the ones you listed truely is fine, Id use the Ford as well...

I got it from LRS. I got the last one they had in stock though. They had to ship a few parts from the kit a few days later when they restocked. Maybe they were out of the regular timing set that comes with the kit and sent me the Comp Cams one instead.

Either way I'll be using the Ford one. The Comp Cams kit looks built well though.

I also got a Comp cams timing chain in my TFS top end kit ordered from LRS. It looks much better than the stock piece I took off. I'm in the middle of my H/C/I swap now.

As a dealer putting the kits together, you can interchange the small parts I assume that is what was done.
