I have a 98 mustang gt and my t45 went to *****. I wana get a new tranny that has beter gear ratio's and one that can handle more power. I was even thinking about the t46 but thats really pricey. Are there any really good trannys out there for a affordable price. If so where could i get this from. Also wouldnt the t46 be good because i have 4.10's in my rearend.

A bunch of people are selling slightly used 03 Cobra T-56's in the classifieds, if it were my car that's the route I would go. I'm not sure what it takes to bolt one on, but if you're going to do it, you may as well do it right.

actually the 5th gear ratio in the 3650 is higher than the 6th gear ratio in the cobras t56!!! So the 3650 would be better for the 4.10 rearended car. I would Go with a TKO if i was doing it!

What's the 6th gear ratio in the Cobra? I know in the LS1 cars it's .50:1 which is one reason they get such good highway miles.
