I recently bought a 1995 GT for a good price considering it had a trans leak. I got it home and checked it and its leaking out of the front of the trans near the bellhousing. Here are my 3 ideas:
1. I could pull this trans out and fix it, then put it back in.
2. I could put my Tremec 3550 and Spec clutch into it with a 5/8" UPR driveshaft (already bought the spacer for this)
3. I don't know if this will work but... I could pull this trans out and swap in a used t5 from a fox body with the spacer. I hear the input shaft is different and thats why its too short, not the tailshaft.(hence i dont think it will work)

To answer some questions, this car is stock besides a flowmaster catback. It is getting BBK shorty headers and summit off road hpipe when i pull the trans. It is going to be stock until winter when I throw my AFR 185 headed 331 from my old 90 GT into it. I would rather NOT put in my Tremec right now. What would make the T5 trans leak out of the front and would it be easy to fix? I will be pulling the trans out tomorrow morning hopefully and I will have a better look. It should just be a seal right? Please let me know your guys' input. This is my first post in this forum and will definately be on this forum a LOT more in the future asking and answering questions. I love my 95! Thanks!
