I am considering buying a new set of wheels, but dont want to get anything heavier than whats on the car now (2003 5 spokes, the kind that come on the base GT) I have a felling that Bullits weigh more than what I have, so I have been looking at FR500's from wheelreplicas.com. Im pretty sure that those wheels are going to be the lightest of the wheels I am considering. Does any one know how the stock 5 spokes compare to Bullits, FR500's in the weight catagory. Thanks.

Whats the major difference between rip offs and the ford brand... I have original FR500's I think they look better than rip off's... But I know my fr500's arent too light...

I weighed my stock base GT 5 spokes with stock goodyears last night and they weigh a total of 41 lbs each. Goodyear says the stock tire weighs 24 lbs. Mine are basically worn out so take generous 2 lbs off and that leaves 19 lbs left for the wheel. Not bad for a stock wheel.

Is it possible to have the stock rims widened? This seems like the ultimate in sleeper technology. Rolling on 10.5 inch base GT wheels would be awsome.

Absolutely! Anything is possible with enough money.

Why dont you buy a set of bullits that are wider... SLEEPER STILL!!! Widening a wheel is highly expensive I remember reading a thread on here about a guy who wanted to I think he did because he had a 99 anniversary and wanted to keep wheels stock since they are rare...
