Whine in my gears!!!!!!!!!

Your backlash was set incorrectly at the shop that installed them more than likely. To correct it they will have to go back inside the differential. If its a respectable shop they should go back in without charging you labor. Be prepared that they could charge you with it though.

Ive also heard that different brands have a tendency to whine more than others. I have never really heard a problem with FRPP's, but have noticed that most people with a whine have Motive Gears. Just something Ive noticed

Man, that better not happen to me when I get my gears put in. They'll have another thing coming if they think I'll pay them labor to correct something they didn't get right to begin with.

2 things to do before you go crying wolf to the guy who installed the gears.

1st look under the car and see if the yellow dot on the D/S and the dot on the axle flange are lined up. If the are, try moving the D/S(try 180* 1st) and see if that helps. There are 8 holes on the flange so try all 8 of them and see if it helps.

2nd how many miles do you have on them? And did you take it easy for a while or did you just jump in and beat the pi$$ out of it when you picked her up! Not trying to be a dick, but if you didn't break them in you may have caused the whine yourself.

If none of the above applys to you then go back abd be civil with the guy and take him for a ride. If he's reputialbe, he'll take care of you.

I don't know what this has to do with but when i drive sometimes my car stutters. like jolting back and forth. ever since i got my gears. I thought it was my transmission but it never did that before i got them.
