2006 mustang gt, just installed roush r2300 supercharger. Now making a whine noise. Took the drivebelt off (single pulley system) and still makes noise. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I have a 2010 Roush Mustang with the same 4.6 engine you run. I have the same Roush supercharger too. I get a whine when the supercharger is building boost. Thats completely normal. Superchargers whine. In your case, you disconnected the drive belt and still have the noise. I know enough to be dangerous about how exactly superchargers work other than they inject air into the combustion process under pressure. Mine is 12 lb max. I could be wrong but trying to get air through your supercharger with it being unhooked may be creating noises too. Did you install all the other upgrades to support the supercharger? I know with some SCs the card needs flashed too.
