Whistling

everytime I accelarate in 3rd gear I hear whistling...I dont really hear it in 1st or 2nd and I think it continues in 4th but Im not really sure cuz the car is too loud by then....this is a late 2002 GT. Any ideas?

Did you remove/trim your intake silencer?

no...but how do I check if the previous owner did...how does it look like

it's a rubber "snout" that goes from your airbox to the fenderwell

btw--have you done anything to your car since this started happening one more thing.... is your window up all the way????? i know it sounds like a stupid question, but i've done that before

I looked u some older posts and some people experienced whistling from installin a tb or iac gasket...I dunno I havent done anything like taht to the car

hehehe, just checking the only thing that i can think of is that something loosened under the car & it hanging down just enough to catch some air

nope, dont know your dad.......... gear whine, depends, i mean could just need new fluid, could be something else
