You have a gas light in the '88? I had one in my '84, don't have one in the '91. Miss it. My airbag wheel pretty much hides the fuel gauge, so if I don't make it a point to look at it I don't see it. My wife's '89 doesn't have one either. She could use it too, her gauge says full until she's almost out of gas, then it drops right to empty. Maybe both our cars are broken?

Um guys, haven't any of you noticed your factory gauges always reset themselves when you cycle the key?
Mine don't. The oil pressure goes from where ever it is while running to 3/4 up, no matter how many times I cycle the ignition. Same with the fuel level, goes right to 1/2 tank and stays there. Temp does something funny too, although I don't remember what since I haven't looked at it in about two years (since the mech. Autometers went in) I honestly don't remember how I did this. Whatever I did, it worked, and I remember thinking hard about it, but not what I did. I did make the mistake of trying to reposition the speedo one a tad after already setting it, shoulda left well enough alone cause now it doesn't light evenly. Oh well. Maybe I'll have Brothers put a new face on it when they calibrate it.
