Im installing a white gusge face kit on my 66 mustang and have some questions. Do they install with double stick tape? And also, how do get the speedometer needle off?

The ones I have seen were stickers on a piece of paper: just peel them off and stick them on . I imagine it's a pain to get them just right. You have to be very careful with the speedo needle but I'm not sure if it is just a press fit or there is a tiny nut holding it.

its a press fit. I did mine the same way and it looks good. Dont laugh but I used 2 spoons to get the needle off, One spoon on ether side and it poped off.

They are just stickers...

I had the same problem with the speedo needle. Thought I was going to break it, but it finally came off.

I've made some custom gauge legends and I needed to get the speedo needle off too, but being a chicken, I got a pair of long nosed pliers and held the shaft behind the speedo face and just pulled the needle off with my fingers - I took one look at the tiny bearing on the needle shaft and didn't dare risk pulling it off without something behind the dial...

I'll post some pics of my new gauges when I can get a decent night-time photo...

The needle will "pop" off with a little pressure, I have the indiglo gauges but i think you have just the overlays, i used double sided tape
