I dunno about you guys, but its getting cold up here, and we get white smoke as condensation.
Just thought I'd state the obvious.
As for the temp sensor, the one right in behind the thermostat housing is for the ECU and there is one on the driver's side of the lower intake that has a single wire connection, that one is for the gauge.

well, it does this constantly, and in all weather conditions. I started noticing it when it was about 80 something up here in chicago, and now it just continues to do so. I only start it about once a week due to the fact that it's at my parents house, 45 minutes or so away, and awaiting my reconstruction of the fenders and hood.
As for the sensor on the intake, could someone give me a picture? My intake is well.... custom? My intake volume is certainly compromised, but not a whole lot, and not enough for white smoke to be coming out, so i'm assuming it's a different problem. Oh, and There is little antifreeze in the mixture, so I really need to fix it fast, or drain it and add more antifreeze (only a 10% mix at best currently). But yeah, a pic of that intake sensor would be great. Thanks!
oh, and sorry, on start up, the car runs fine, but then when it gets warm, it chokes and dies and is hard to start again. The white smoke, however, is constantly there.
WRONG. There are TWO seperate sending units. The driver's side one is for the gauge only. The other is in a neck on the metal tubing running under the upper intake going into the passenger side of the firewall (for your heater). I AM 100% CERTAIN. They are NOT the same sensors for the gauge and ecu.
The sensor for the gauge....looks like a plug or big bolt if you will with a single pole on the back of it for one wire to clip on to. The other has an actual connector on it that part of the engine harness plugs to. I don't have a pics of it off hand.
Do you have a T5 or an AODE? Tranny fluid burns white. If the AODE vacuum module gets a hole in its diaphragm, you'll end up sucking tranny fluid into the engine.
