You can get the motorvation chip from Summit. They have the custom one where you order it and a rep from the company calls to get the specifics of you combo. I think it runs about 380.00 though.

mail order chips suck!! even if the company knows your mods, doesnt mean they can make the best tune for it. every car responds differently to mods plus elevation and weather conditions effect a tune. your best bet would be to get a dyno tune and chip burned specifically for your car

Year and mods always helps.

If your username is indicative of your car, check out the 94-95 tuning sub-forum for tuning assistance.

Good luck.

Actually it could be worse off then you setting the timing and fuel pressure and adjusting by driving. Every car will respond to mods different...you may end up too rich or too lean simply because the computer is getting incorrect info and making the wrong corrections. Save the money and get it tuned correctly...could be worth some serious HP and or solve any drivability issues you have...mine did.

Guy your speaking of is the owner of a performance shop...he does installs and dyno tuning, he does not sell premade chips as far as I'm aware. I'm still curious why you'd want to spend 300 on a chip that does nothing but bump your timing a few degrees, it does not control fuel pressure nor does it correct your maf readings...give it some more research before spending money for nothing.

You might mean LaRoccas (something like that - they're back East somewhere).

EDIT: TBS beat me.

I'd check out SCT. I'd also note that *I think* Don 95vert (An SCT guru IMHO) has said that aftermarket MAF's make it really hard to do a mail order chip. His website is Lasota Racing and has some useful info.

Good luck.

Glad you found the name of the company you were looking for.

Still...
I would reconsider. I tried one of these mail order chips years back. No power increase there. Actually, I thought adding the 1.7 RR's made more power than the chip.

I use a tuner now, and it is amazing what can be done.

If you just want a rough tune, then consider where you will be going later for a good dyno tune.
For example you don't want to buy an SCT chip, then find out later that you don't have any SCT tuners within 1,000 miles.
Most shops will only work with specific chips.

Good Luck,
jason

Yup, Lasota Racing and Don is in that VERY RARE group of people and companies that is NOT OUT TO SCREW OR LIE to you just so they can STEAL you money.

Many/Most companies out their sell junk and they know it. They sell cr*p to make more money and people are stupid and want to buy the stupid RICER mods.

Don's a great guy and he's NOT out to screw people just so he can make a few more bucks. [Big thumbs up! ]

Too bad many companies are doing like Summit now does and sell pure BS (magnetic fuel savers, the Tornado intake moron-mod, ...).
