I had a set if BFG's 285 on 15' rims, very bad in the rain also now after running MT's I realize that they didn't wear as well as the MT's, MT's are much, much better in the rain.

Ok. I am looking for a 17 inch DR for my Cobra (daily driver) and so far it looks like the Nitto 555r may be the best bet (don't race enough to justify a second set of rims/tires). Any others?

I got 9500 miles out of my 315 MTs. But now both the MTs and BFGs are on national backorder...so you dont have much of a choice.

MTs>BFGs hands DOWN...I have had both in 315s. Mts dead hook 1st...BFGs spin most of the way through second in even warmer weather (with 18 more HP though). BFGs will hook good in second if its over 80*s outside....but 1st still doesnt fully stick even in 95+* weather. MTs ROCK!

one trip to the track and generally 3 or so rips from 1st-2nd+ every day. But I drive 100 miles per day. So mostly highway....NO STREET BURNOUTS EVER. Thats a HUGE nono on MTs or BFGs....that will EAT tread. At the track, burnouts dont eat tread too much.
