Sorry that I don't have pics to take for you cuz my car is in pieces now but i can just tell you what setup i had. First I started out with a rear seat delete for my convertible and desided that I needed some bumo so I bought a couple 12s. Man are SN95 tunks small or what? I had to have a custom box built that could be squeezed in the trunk. Then later I said- man if I got no back seat why don't we just stick the 12s there- so I did. I had a custom box built so my 12s fired forward inside the car and then in the trunk I had two amps mounted on the back the box with a circuit breaker for my battery since it was relocated to the trunk. You know it's always funny to see the expresion on peoples face when they ask you for a jump and you back up next to them and pop your trunk next to there hood. They're like WTF is this guy doing? I asked for jump!

Good topic. Hey squall, did you place the speaker in the rear seat delete cover? Might look pretty cool, but how the sound? Did you box them in or just left them open?

PS, don't mean to hijack but I want a rear seat delete and have a small box that takes up TOO much space in my trunk.

I got kept the back piece of the delete kit and had a box made that fit into the back seat and used carpet to match the interior on the outside of the box. The 12s were mounted in the box in the from firing forward and the bottom pieces of board was made longer so screws could go down and secure it to the car. Kinda hard to explain so i guess i will have to take pics this weekend. Like I said my car is in pieces and is being parted out so the box is going up for sale with speakers and amps mounted already. I've been try to get my girl moved out here and haven't been as attentive with my car lately

I've been thinking of doing the same thing for my vert also. I think a seat delete and then a custom box sitting "on top" of the seat (screwed down of course) would look really clean, then mount the amps on the back of the box. The only thing is that the subs are very visible and someone might try to steal them, so I plan on a cover for the back seat (like the saleen-gives the car a roadster look) for when the top is down, then maybe just a black sheet to pull over them when the top is up, just to keep them out of sight...but maybe i'm paranoid lol.

take a look over at sounddomain, I'm sure there are PLENTY of 'stang installs over there. I'll be doing one in my 87 that should kick one hell of alot of @ss.

Personally, with 3 tens, I'd pull your spare, drop one in the well, and put one behind each of the wheel wells with fiberglass enclosures... probably have the amps on the back of the seat, flush mouth

I have put in 2 12 inch woofers enclosed into a box with fiberglass facing the rear seat, I have a rear seat delete and I fiberglassed around so you couldnt see anything but the subs through the rear seat delete and painted the fiberglass to match the future color of my car. I put in 3 rockford amps, old school dsm ix's. what i did was i built a board for the amps and then built the exact same piece for a top cover and cut out holes for the tops of the amps to b seen and fiberglassed all of it and painted also..Its hard to explain exactly but I think you can get some ideas of what i did from this. Adn i think i may have some pics of the install i will try to find em 4 ya...O yea I have a 96 gt

Squall, I didn't quite understand you but I'm thinking of doing a seat delete normally. Then cutting out a piece of the back "seat" part and installing my box in there facing inward and bolt it down. My amps would then be on top of my box inside the trunk. The problem is, won't the top hit the box and might break the glass or not let it go all the way down. The pics posted are from coupes so I'm assuming they can't help me. Also, the vert top motor will be moved under the bottom part of the delete kit. Do you understand what I'm saying? Maybe your's is better but I didn't understand you at all.

I just read you post again, and it seems to me that you just placed a regular speaker box on top of the delete kit. Right? Somewhat to what I'm thinking but don't the speakers get too annoying since they're right in your ear?

I'll try to get some pics of my box for you but I can't show it installed right now. I'm currently trying to sell my audio so it's in my buddy's garage still (where we took my car apart) and my car is in storage elsewhere so i will have to try and explain it when I get it post on here.

Man that's some serious stuff right there. Got some nice bling you got to squeeze in there It was too much weighted for me that's why I'm parting with my setup.
