While I have the car apart and the engine out, I'm thinking of spending the extra $75 for the kit to put the battery in the trunk. I know a lot of people have this kit; what are some advantages/drawbacks I should know about it? The weight distribution advantage is obvious.
Right now I have all the wiring out of the car, along with the interior, engine, and transmission. I have a new painless harness that I'm about to put in, then in goes the new head unit, speakers, 2 amps, and subwoofer. Then the interior, then the engine, transmission, and new 4.11 limited slip rear end. Should be fun when it's over. But anyway, right now would be the time to do such a kit and I'm thinking with the amps back there it might be convenient to have the battery there too. Thoughts?
