I ordered the Trick Flow screws which plug the smog holes on the rear of the cylinder heads and, well, I've pretty much figured out they are a huge P.I.T.A. to get in. They are like way too big for the original holes. The fact that the engine is in the car doesn't make it any easier either. Any tips for me? These screws do work for stock E7 heads, don't they?
Thanks!

get one of the bolts that threads into the same plugs on the front of the engine.

thread the insert on that bolt, and you can use a ratchet/wrench on the back of the heads from that. once its in there and tight, you can leave it or give it a quick snap and break the bolt loose.

all the thermactor holes are the same diameter i believe so you shouldnt be having any problems.

I have another late-model 302 out of the car and checked the holes on it. They were the same size. I thought it may have been clogged so I tried cleaning it out with no luck. It was still the same diameter.

I did figure out that you can thread a bolt into them and have tried it. I guess I'll just have to try a little harder. Get them in as far as I can and just break em off. Thanks.
