Show of hands
If you are doing it, and it's working out well. How long have you had the combo?
Mods in sig, weighing if it's mandatory....Or if I can get away with it untuned...
Car FEELS great...
Thanks!

Came on the car when I bought it a few months ago. Thumper heads, unknown cam, explorer intake, no egr, no tune, and no problems

Me too, although it does surge still, probably because of the 30# injectors. Other than that never fails to scare the **** out of me. I might get it tuned when I swap my Typhoon for a Victor 5.0 if it doesnt cost too much.

SCT tune turned my little girl into dream to drive...I had surge/hot start/idle issues after the swap....the tune changed the way I felt about the car, it infact made it fun to drive again. HP gains were substantial even with my car being in a fairly decent state of tune via realworld experimentation. You can get by without one with no doubt...you very well might not need one, you might very well spend 400 plus dollars and find absolutely NO HP to be gained..or as in my case, it may work wonders for your car.

The further from stock, the further from the original parameters on the computer. Eventually you get out of the scope of the adjustment. So, with a mild setup, the computer can compensate, but it will work much better if it is set right.

So, in other words, the further from stock the setup is, the more it needs a tune. Doing a "tune" on a stock engine has proven to be a waste, but a heavily modded engine without a tune is a waste as well.
