If anyone cares, i've done some research on the cheapest prices and the following links are what i came up with.

The first site would have been the cheapest, but they are located in Illinois and i would be charged $30 for tax. The second site i initially ordered from but they refunded my money saying there was a long backorder. The third site i finally ordered from and they are shipping the kit tomorrow. They said that there was over 100 in Magnaflows inventory so i'm not sure what fasterthanthem was talking about. Just an FYI to save a few bucks I have a set of concourse 70 mach tips that will be shipped and should finish the setup quite nicely, along with my ceramic coated Hooker Comps Gonna be a big difference going from stock manifold with 2" true dual exhaust with generic turbos to Hooker Comp full length headers with 2.5" X-pipe exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. I'm hoping an increase in the seat-of-pants meter

magnaflow will be under my 66. I would like to know too, thanks. Beware "cheap" parts, I got a catco replacement H pipe for an 89 and it was a crimp bent, low hanging pos.

Anyone in Southern CA, who wants to hear Magnaflow on a small block or a big block Ford let me know- Id be more then happy to let you listen, give you a ride so you can hear what it sounds like cruising/ under load exc-

Thats a great deal for less than $500....I have over a grand in this exhaust pieced together with:

Dr Gas head pipes for JBA shorties
Dr Gas x-pipe
Dr. Gas "flow tubes" (jogs in front of mufflers)
Dr. Gas mid hangers (attach to seat belt holes, not shown in the pic)
Flowmaster Delta 40's
Flowmaster tail pipes
generic turn downs to hide all but the tips (not shown in the pic)
ball and joint connecters in front of the mufflers
Jet Hot coated
Scott Drake repro tail pipe hangers (welded to pipe instead of clamps)

I modified all this to fit to my liking and tacked it all together. Then I took it to Minnettes (Dallas, Texas) to get all of the joints tig welded before getting the entire system coated.

I wouldnt call that pieced together at all... the jet hot is a nice touch, but an expensive one. I like it, but I like my magnaflow also.

Well here we area year later and I finally got around to starting on the exhaust project. I picked up the Magnaflow kit a while back. Seems to be pretty nice stuff.

Does anybody have pics of the rear exhaust hangers installed? The directions say they are supposed to attache to the rear subframe but doing that puts the pipes about this > < close to the springs.

I just bought a 2.5" Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust kit for my 69 Mach 1. It includes the X junction, pipes, mufflers, and exhaust tips. And at $373 ($100 less than at summit and others), you can't beat that price with a stick:

Joe over there bent over backwards to make the sale. I would have felt guilty if I didn't buy from him even if I could have found somebody cheaper (which wasn't gonna happen anyway).

I'm also thinking about the 2.5" Magnaflow system for my '65 coupe, though I have a few questions. Can anybody answer the following:

(1) Does the system use turndowns, tailpipes that exit under the rear valence, or tailpipes that exit through the rear valence (GT)? I don't see any options for this.

(2) The system is described as "header back". Does this mean stock manifolds, shorty headers, or long tubes?

(1) In the box are two options polished turndowns for behind the valence and tailpipe extensions for through teh valence. It is up to you or your installer which one you use.

(2) It is pretty much intended for longtube headers. If you have anything else you will have to come up with pipes to extend the system to the manifolds/shorties.
