Everything in my signature is basically going.

NOW.... I have decided that my EFI problems are not going to haunt me anymore.

Speed demon 650 mechanical secondary carb
Performer RPM Air-Gap intake
f 303 camshaft
pro topline 180 58cc chambers
10.3:1 forged pistons
built 306 with arp bolts around, o ringed head gasket, built for nitrous.
tranny is t5 with all synthetic fluid, rear end is 3.73 gears with synthetic fluid.

Guess away! ball park is more than welcome.

You got emissions to pass there in Indy? Throwing in the towel, huh? No idea how much output, but you'll be able to sell much of your efi stuff. Why not pull that F cam out, and put something more contemporary in while you're making the change?

No emissions to pass or i wouldnt even concider the swap
Yeah i'm throughing in the towel, way too many possibilities in the EFI system that could be causing my problems. Im going to be eliminating every single possibility except the block this time.
Whats wrong with the F cam? I thought it would be a good choice and good power maker, especially when I bolt on the nitrous?
Whats your recommendation as far as a cam goes?
Any others welcome, I realize that this combo is far from ordinary, and will be hard to even give a ball park figure.

I didn't say anything was wrong with the F -- it's just all the rest of the pieces are nice stuff, and the F cam has been around for awhile. First choice for me is always to have Buddy model the set up (by the way - his computer will spit out a couple of HP and torque curves - estimates at different rpm levels) and do a custom. You've had enough uncertainty with the efi snafu's - a custom removes a lot of the guess work on the cam. And just about any off the shelf is gonna be picked by guess work. Second choice would be something out of the CompCams XE line.

Good to see you made your desicion Indy. I guarantee you wont regret going to carb, I havn't after making the switch 3 1/2 years ago. Nice set-up you got there for sure, cam wise though I would go straight to Comp and get a cam out of there Xtreme Line Up. I'm not even familiar with those pro top line head's you are using so my guesstimate could be way off, but ball park figure wise I'd say 325-340HP at the flywheel. ?????

Comp cams huh? I don't know anything about them, I will however give you the flownumbers for the heads.
