Who's using Fel-Pro head gaskets and a blower?

I'm building a motor for a buddy. I was gonna use Cometic head gaskets, but now I'm thinking about some Fel-Pro 1011-2's. My understanding is I need the 1011-2 for aluminum heads because it has a copper sealing ring instead of steel? Or should I use the 1011-1? How do these hold up? He's only gonna be running 6-8 psi. Thanks

You really dont need the Cometics. Is your buddy running iron or aluminum heads? You are correct, the -1s are for iron and the -2s are for aluminum. Get a set of head studs while you are at it. They will help tremendously. I was running the Felpro 1011-2 and head studs also. Small powerdyne overdriven and pushing 11-12lbs on a Trickflow track heat top end with an additional 150 shot of nitrous. They work just fine. Main thing is to follow ARPs procedure on torqueing the studs. With new studs you have to do it 3 or 4 times. And dont get lazy and forget to go back and retorque the heads after running the engine through a few heat cycles.
