LOL, yeah I guess so.

I too have been amazed at how long this clutch has lasted. Of course we only put about 1000 miles a year on it these days. It survived my wife for the first three years as it was her daily driver when new. That in itself is amazing. Guess she broke it in right.

My daughter starts driving next year. I'm gonna teach her on it.

Clutch probably won't survive that. LOL

To completely skip 40 posts, I just want to say that why the HELL didn't Ford leave the damn heater core behind the glovebox as in the 83-85 Fox bodies?!?!? Remove glove box. Pull heater core. Replace heater core. Drive.

Why do I have to PULL THE WHOLE DAMN DASH to change my core (should I ever have to). Enter the flow resister. **crosses fingers** core will stay intact for a while yet.

i love how everyone hates the srt4 and they are made cheap but you could order it from dodge with a 3 year 36k warranty and 355hp and 365tq at the tires and its only 2880 lbs without anything removed. even the stock stage 0 runs a 14.2 1/4 mile. they are what they are but its a hell of a good time to beat on one.

355hp to the tire is pushing it. and its to the wrong tire, cant argue that. they dont do a 14.2 quarter that ive ever seen. Friend owns a built one making 500ish and he'll be lucky as hell to get into the 12's. not going to bash you if youre a fan but its hard to compare a car from the 2000's to a fox designed in the 80s... apples and oranges.

I had fun beating on a manual camry, that doesnt make it fast anymore than it makes it a sports car

The heads didn't exist until 1992 for production purposes. There is also cost of engine certification.

Why not 5 lugs? Well say 50 cents a lug, times 4 lugs times a million or so cars is a lot of money. Do that for other non-essential areas and stuff adds up.

Ford isn't run by gear heads...it's run by bean counters. Sometimes they let's the engineers play, but only if there is $$$ to be made

I just put GT500 mufflers on my 2011 GT. I'm wondering why they aren't stock to begin with. Wouldn't Ford save money by only having one design instead of two?

I thought the stock SRT-4 was 220 hp (Neon) to 260hp (Caliber) at the crank? How do you go from that to 355hp at the wheels and keep the warranty?

And with FWD, how do you use 365tq at the wheels without going into the ditch?

oh trust me i know they dont compair in any way and im always more happy behind a ford (i have all fords now) people just bash them and its funny because they are faster than most of the cars those people drive. (not always though)

the stage 0 has 220hp 250 tq on the rollers out of the box and the stage 3 option is the 355hp-365tq for about another 10k (it also has full track suspention setup, I/C sprayer and race gas tank in the trunk with a little red button to press to feed it a mix of 110 and 93)
they have huge TQ steer but the limited slip they started using in 05 helped alot.

trust me im not praising them they are fast but they break way to easy due to being made cheap, i traded it for my 07 f150 for a reason. 2 trans in 50k
