It's an 02, so it's the 3650. Why does it grind every time I do a 2-3 shift?

What should I do about it? Is there any harm shifting 2-4?

Thanks for any help, this is pissing me off.

Is this with the stock shifter? And by grinds "every time" do you mean even when you're not gunning it or anything? If it grinds every time, chances are you've got a syncro or something going/gone out.

Steeda Tri-Ax, which I hear I may need to adjust the stops.

It grinds at higher RPMs, at 2k or less, nothing.

There is a TSB for it:

"Tr3650 manual transmission - jumps out of gear 2nd and/or 3rd - clash noise and/or raspy feel on gear engagement. *tt"

Maybe it can be fixed under warranty?

Well if it sounds like it's doing what the TSB says, and the dealer can re-create it, then sure might as well have them try to fix it under warranty. But chances are as soon as they see you're using a tremec with aftermarket shift stops, they'll blame it on that.

Not only do they legally, under federal law, prove the shifter caused the issue, but I have the stock shifter still very much in tact. We'll see what I can do.
