I went to the track Friday night and at the end of the drag strip they have a scale. There was a 94 GT vert with a 270lb driver and cast iron heads weighing in at 3810 or so. My 94 coupe with a 195lb driver and aluminum heads weighed in at 3740. I dont get it?? The verts are heavier plus he has cast iron heads. I didnt realize my gt weighs as much as it does.

Did you look to see if he had used extensive weight reduction techniques? Maybe he has an aftermarket K-member & some removed material here & there. Wheels can be a big factor, too. What kind do you have?

Oh, & I see that you have a TKO. If he has a T-5 .... that's another factor.

I have Cobra 17x9 rims. He had stock 5 star rims. From what he told me, he said he hadnt removed anything for weight. I find it hard to believe that my GT would even weigh that much. I guess with driver that would be close to what I assumed. Yes its a TKO and he had a t-5. I know the TKO does weigh more. I figured the aluminum heads would make up for it.

Hey thats pretty cool.. small world aint it? Later that night my check engine light came on and just pulled codes. Said I had 136 which is lean o2. I know my fuel pump has been making some racket lately. I hope this pump isnt going bad on me. Its a 255 and I installed it 2 years ago.

Gas weighs a lot. Maybe 100 pounds right there.

Plus, you look like you have put on a few pounds too. JK!
