Why Gauge Sweep?

Hi, guys,
quick question,
i have a 01 gt, mods in sig.
for some reason, when the car is cold, and i start it up.. all of the guages do a full sweep, meaning they all go all the way to the right and then back to the original places...
its kinda cool, the sti;s do this, but is somethings wrong? or, whats going on?
thansk a bunch!:SNSign:

i actually think it would bee cool if it did this everytime you start the car....just cause it looks cool.

however my gauges are somewhat weird, although i dont know if its my car or a mustang thing. after i turn on the car the gauges take about 15-20 seconds to come on. this didnt happen on my 94 i dont know about the 04

lol yea, this actually happens everyonce in a while too and i am pretty sure its related to my batter going out...
i think the way the sti's do it is cool but since the stang isnt really supposed to be doing it, it isnt timed and stuff like it should be to make it cool... it also kinda was freaking me out because i thought it might mean something was wrong with my car...

But that's a different car. It might be doing that because it's supposed to.

The Mustang is not supposed to sweep gauges. It only does so on a gauge cluster reset which is a sign of ittermitent power loss.
