My 03 GT = 18/26 M5

New 04 GT = 17/25 M5

1) You're driving it harder???

2) Are you using the Predator tune? Where you using it on the 03? Different tune = different results.

My 04 with M5 gets 18/26 like the 03 stickers say. I'm not driving like a grandma nor am I flooring it everywhere, that's the mpg I get when I drive normally.

Isn't it to do with the change in the oil? 5w-30 vs. 5w-20, isn't that it? Just a guess.

Hmm I thought the 04's have 3.55 axle ratio standard. If so, that's the reason.

The '04 brochure states 3.27's,nothing of 3.55's anywhere throughout the brochure.

Yeah, 3.55s are just for Mach 1s and Cobras.

im pretty sure that the auto 04 stangs have 3.55 gears. The 04 auto tested in MM&FF was spec'ed at having 3.55s.

The build specs on my 04 GT say 3.27's are in it. I have a 5 speed and don't know if automatic's are different. The Cobra and Mach come with 3.55's.
