MPS is a joke, i can't believe they sell anything.
You'd have to be completely computer illiterate to buy something from them. You must have never heard of ebay, craigs, or even google if you purchase from mps.

In my search for 03 cobra parts their company came up over and over.
Even called to see if they would budge on some of the prices, nope, non-negotiable.
They wanted $9500 for a cobra engine when i was looking.

Some of the harness's i was in need of, mps wanted more for them then i could get them from ford for.

As far as the cobra intake performance goes, it's not great for a NA stroker with good heads, but a superchaged engine it's fine for.
By far the best looking mustang intake, i had one that i got for $200 locally. Even had the plate, but the intake looks much better without it.

I have mine still in my box. Ive been holding on to it for about 5 years. Its mint. Ive dabbled on selling it to pay off some bills but I haven't been too sure. I paid $800 for it with upper and lower......AND it has the pretty cool cover.

IMHO, figure approx 10% premium for most of their stuff. And, after getting a TON OF PURE CR*P, banged up, broken, incorrect parts from junk yards/people/ebay, *I* say that MPS prices are a bargain!

Over ten years ago, I used to also think that MPS's prices where too high. Today, if people want to be SURE to get correct OEM/used Stang parts, I tell them get them from MPS!

I DARE someone to buy 5 set of OEM springs for a Stang (from someone other than MPS/Ford/new), and get them ALL correct. I went through over 4 **** sellers and still NEVER got a full correct 100% OEM Fox GT set of springs.

So, people can save a couple of dollars, and hope they have good luck the parts. Or, they can buy from MPS and at least know that those people know what to look for, and care about not screwing their customers.

Yes, there is a lot of stuff that think people can get without paying the higher MPS prices. But, *I* still go to MPS for a number of things. You want a real Stang police thermal fan clutch? Then, IMHO, buy it from MPS, or go play Lotto.

Just my two cents.

This plus one billion. Those guys apparently think their rusty junkyard crap is made of gold. I remember in my quest to find an original tape deck for my car, they quoted me something north of $100. I ended up buying from somebody on the classifieds for like $20.

I *think* it was 1993-2003...same as cobra intake.

But then ford starting selling the china intakes after 2003, and the gt-40 was discontinued.

I think it was $699 or so?

I got one off of E-bay a few months ago for $406. The guy I bought it from got new and never used it. I really shouldn't use it on my new engine since it won't flow enough, but I wanted one for years and I will rarely see the RPMs where it'll hurt me anyhow.

I was going to sell it and replace it with a Holley intake. But it looks soooo good. Plus it helps sell the "its only a 302" story.
