Ricers talk **** to everyone. If you want to find out how fast you really are, line up against an LS1. Then come back and ask us why the hell your car is so slow...

Hondas are slower than hell, along with all those other econobox's. Your car isn't fast, it's just that they think there car is since they've never driven a Mustang and have no idea that we have a 5.0 under the hood so we can actually win. Two fridays ago, we we watched a Metro beat a Prelude by 3 tenth in the 1/4. It was great, they both ran high 17's. They only econobox's out there that break 14 seconds are running boost, nitrous or a really really expensive N/A motor. You just have to know what to look out for to keep from getting smoked by some sleeper.

I always get owned by Fox's on the road, sometimes I can keep up and maybe pull on a bone stock one. I like racing the newer cars out there like the new Mazda's and BMW's. They are all right about the same speed or alittle faster than us and it's fun since I can always win up to about 40 mph then they start pulling pretty easily.

Sometimes I think my car is running really well though. I raced a dude in an older mustang (late 60's) with a manual and a 351 and we were dead on, front bumper to bumper same speed. It was awsome, I felt better being able to keep up with a classic muscle car. I was also able to keep up with a friend's 99 GT up to 2nd-3rd shift (about 55-60), then he pulled no problem.

It's always funny to me when I see ricers at a stoplight. Once the light turns green they accelerate hard, then you hear their fart can, but with all that noise they aren't going fast at all. Plus, they have to shift more frequently. I just laugh at hearing all that noise and no speed/acceleration to show for it.

You've got gears, so that will put most ricers in their place. At higher speeds, it depends on the mods of each car. No matter what, you've got a good advantage with gears and more torque.

Now that I've got my X-pipe, not one ricer will pay any attention to me (and my wife is very thankful of this). Of course, I'd rather that they not screw around with me anyways, cause about half of them are willing to put their life, my life, and others in jeopardy by doing insane stuff (driving in oncoming traffic to pass, using the shoulder, pass in a turn lane, brake job, and/or get beside you and try to squeeze into you). Mostly stupid people in my book.

Are cars are slow when stock. I still feel like my 89 LX was faster than my 95 Cobra. I remember when I bought the LX, GT's would pull up beside me and talk Sh#T. They would tell me that I could only dream of onwing a GT and that there car is so much faster; Silly Uneducated people. Also I know I spelled Uneducated right because I used spell check !

Hey dont make fun of us with slow cars. All my car does when I floor it is rev really high, make lots of noise and create the smell of burning rubber in the cockpit oh and wear out tires. It isn't fast at all...what a waste.

Instead of spending all that money on the motor I should have gotten a big wing instead for more downforce over the rear end.

its not tru that the only econobox(Honda's) running in the 14's have really expensive motor's or boost...a kid from my high school went 14.9 in his GSR with just a CAI and catback...my buddies 4door 94 civic was in the 14's with just an LSVTEC (non-vtech B18 bottom end with a DOHC VTEC head) a CAI and a header...thats far from an expensive setup....you guys are generalizing Honda's too much there are some extremely fast ones out there....dont think for a second cuz we have a 5.0 under the hood we are all high and mighty...there are some "ricers" around who would gladly put us in our place....

All of the fast "ricers" I've seen have looked almost completly stock except the canister fart pipe sticking out the back. To me that isnt a ricer but someone who really cares about their car and making it fast and not just look fast. I have no problem if one of thoes beats me Got spanked by a stock looking supra that ran a 12 flat that run.

some of us here, should start looking out for the new breed of turbo imports. They are fairly quick from the factory, and even quicker with minimal mods. Such as the Turbo Neons, WRX's and hell, even Eclipse GST/GSX's.

Watch out guys! they are on the move!!

Thats why you counter back with turbos or some other form of power adder on your car Theres no replacement for displacement. Muscle cars will always live
