Why won't 2005+ brakes fit on 1996-2004 spindles?

The 2005+ 14" brake kits are reasonably priced, but everyting I read says that they won't fit on any Mustang older than 2005. Are the spindles drastically different?
Yes, difference cars

How big the rotors are has a small impact compared to the Caliper and type of tire you use, try sticking with the 13in cobra/bullitt/mach 1 front brake setup, and they can be found for $400 http://www.speedconcepts.net/produc...d=438&osCsid=37b137acb18a7ac5f5ed49c2a49ae4bd

You might as well ask how to put a Honda Civic caliper onto a Mustang.

Totally different suspension designs.

The only reason the Fox and SN95's are interchangable is because they are the same basic chassis.

The 05+ is a total redesign, so nothing swaps over really

He's not completely nuts for asking these questions... funny u mentions civics.. Pretty much all the civics and integras from the late 80s till 2001 or so have interchangable spindles and brakes
